Rock climbing in the Dolomites, Italy.

The 5 fingers traverse on the Fünffingerspitzen - Punta Delle Cinque Dita:

Pictures of the Index and summit of the Middle finger.

Though we only did the Thumb of the whole traverse, some friends of ours did the whole route and we took some pictures of them as they climbed the second pitch of the Index and the summit of the Middle finger.

Hopefully they will send us some pictures from their climb to complete this article.

This is the second pitch of the Index finger (13th pitch if you count the rappels from the Thumb) 45m, III+. There are people climbing other routes. The route starts where the 2 persons are standing and follows the crack slightly to the left, to its end, then up and another crack to the left to the relay.
The 3 guys on the picture are at the relay of the second pitch on the Index. They will traverse to the other side of the Index (45m, III) and then 1 pitch up a chimney around a boulder, onto the Middle finger (25m, III). Then a 15m pitch of III to the summit of the Middle finger.
This is the summit of the Middle finger, with, in the foreground the summit of the Index. (which you avoid when doing the traverse)
Three happy guys on top of the Middle finger (2996m), in the foreground someone on top of the Index.
